SUNDAY 28TH OCTOBER 2018 CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
1. SCC Announcements
• On 2nd November Friday Perpetual Adoration by Our Lady of Nazareth Community
• On 3rd November Saturday  Church Cleaning by St. Mathew Community
• On 4th November Sunday 8.15am Liturgy by St. Teresa of Avila Community
 
2. Tomorrow / Today for all those who want to be a part of the parish choir, auditions will be followed by choir practice at 6pm in the conference room. Please come prepared with a song / hymn.
 
3. Tomorrow / Today Pastoral Parish Helpers meeting at 6.30pm in the Infant Jesus Hall terrace. Attendance is compulsory.
 
4. The saris that were offered to Mother Mary are on sale at a nominal rate. Proceeds of the same will be used for the good cause. I thank the Konkani OCD’S for doing the needful.
 
5. You can put your Mass intentions in the box placed near the Altar for 1st and 2nd of November.
• Thursday 1st of November All Saints Day Masses are at 6.15am, 7.15am, 6pm and 7pm
• Friday 2nd of November All Souls Day Mass in Konkani at 6am and in English at 7am, 8am, 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm. Masses at cemetery at 7am and 5.30pm after which we will bless the graves. Please clean and decorate the respective graves. The collection on that day will be used to support the kidney patients.
 
6. From 3rd of November coming Saturday we begin our annual parish sports. Hence on that day we will have only one Mass at 5.15pm followed by the inauguration of the sports. 
 
7. PPC meeting on coming Sunday 4th of November at 9.30am in the Little Flower Hall.
 
8. From 6th to 8th of November there is Marathi Convention at Bhayander and from 12th to 14th of November there is Konkani Convention at Bandra. All those who want to participate in the convention please register your names at the counter set outside.

    May 24 2019 Friday of the Fifth Week of Easter Lectionary: 289 Reading 1 ACTS 15:22-31 The Apostles and presbyters, in agreement with the whole Church, decided to choose representatives and to send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. The ones chosen were Judas, who was called Barsabbas, and Silas, leaders among the brothers. This is the letter delivered by them: "The Apostles and the presbyters, your brothers, to the brothers in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia of Gentile origin: greetings. Since we have heard that some of our number who went out without any mandate from us have upset you with their teachings and disturbed your peace of mind, we have with one accord decided to choose representatives and to send them to you along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, who have dedicated their lives to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. So we are sending Judas and Silas who will also convey this same message by word of mouth: 'It is the decision of the Holy Spirit and of us not to place on you any burden beyond these necessities, namely, to abstain from meat sacrificed to idols, from blood, from meats of strangled animals, and from unlawful marriage. If you keep free of these, you will be doing what is right. Farewell.'" And so they were sent on their journey. Upon their arrival in Antioch they called the assembly together and delivered the letter. When the people read it, they were delighted with the exhortation. Responsorial Psalm PS 57:8-9, 10 AND 12 R. (10a) I will give you thanks among the peoples, O Lord. or: R. Alleluia. My heart is steadfast, O God; my heart is steadfast; I will sing and chant praise. Awake, O my soul; awake, lyre and harp! I have called you friends, because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father. It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you. This I command you: love one another."
