1. SCC Announcements
• On 14th December Friday Perpetual Adoration by St. Ignatius of Loyola  Community
• On 15th December Saturday Church cleaning by St. Patrick Community
• On 16th December Sunday 8.15am Liturgy by St. John the Baptist Community
 
2. Tomorrow / Today cafeteria has been put up by Holy Trinity Community. Kindly patronize the stall.
  
3. Altar Servers have put up the CHRISTMAS STALL. Kindly encourage them. 
 
4. Programmes for Sunday 9th December 
• PPC Meeting at 6pm in the Little Flower Hall.
• Tamil Mass at 6.15pm in the church. 
 
5. You can bring the old clothes which are in usable and good condition on Thursday 13th and drop them in the Infant Jesus Hall. The Sneha Sagar sisters will distribute them to the poor and needy.
 
6. On 14th of December our OCD’S brothers and sisters will be taking their temporary and definatory promises during the 7pm Mass. Kindly keep them in your prays.
 
7. Fr. Neil Dos Santos Chancellor of Mumbai Diocese will be here on Friday 14th of this month from 9.30am to 4pm. All those who have any problem in your certificates like correction of name or marriage related problems or annulment can avail this opportunity.
 
8. All couples married in the month of December are invited for a special Wedding Anniversary Mass for renewal of vows and special blessing on 15th of December at 7.30pm in the church. Those interested to take part in the offertory / liturgy (lectors) for this Mass kindly contact Joe from the family cell or contact us in the parish office.
 
9. The feast of St. Jerome at Kashmira will be on Wednesday 26th of December. The novena starts from Saturday 15th December. For further details refer the notice board
 
10. Konkani and English bible diaries are available in the book stall.
 
11. The Diocesan Centre for Social Action has come forward with the campaign against hunger and disease. The envelope for the same will be distributed by the volunteers which can be brought back on next Sunday.  Please be supporting to this good cause
 
12. The foundation day celebration on last Sunday was really wonderful and well attended. We thank all those who were part of this celebration.
 
13. Programmes for coming Sunday 16th December 
• Sunday school children to report directly for Mass at 8.15am in the St. Joseph Hall for STD’s IV to VII and church terrace for STD’s VIII to confirmation after which there will be a Christmas celebration till 10.30am. Adults Mass will be in the church.
• Christmas programme for STD’s I to III at Mount Carmel School Anubhav from 8.15am to 10.30am.
• We will be having SCC zone wise carol singing competition from 4pm to 8pm in the St. Joseph Hall. Please come in large numbers and encourage our participants. If anyone would like to sponsor prizes for the competition kindly meet us in the parish office

    January 18th, 2019 HEB 4:1-5, 11 Friday of the First Week in Ordinary Time Lectionary: 309 Reading Let us be on our guard while the promise of entering into his rest remains, that none of you seem to have failed. For in fact we have received the Good News just as our ancestors did. But the word that they heard did not profit them, for they were not united in faith with those who listened. For we who believed enter into that rest, just as he has said: As I swore in my wrath, "They shall not enter into my rest," and yet his works were accomplished at the foundation of the world. For he has spoken somewhere about the seventh day in this manner, And God rested on the seventh day from all his works; and again, in the previously mentioned place, They shall not enter into my rest. Therefore, let us strive to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall after the same example of disobedience. Responsorial Psalm PS 78:3 AND 4BC, 6C-7, 8 R. Gospel MK 2:1-12 When Jesus returned to Capernaum after some days, it became known that he was at home. Many gathered together so that there was no longer room for them, not even around the door, and he preached the word to them. They came bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. Unable to get near Jesus because of the crowd, they opened up the roof above him. After they had broken through, they let down the mat on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to him, "Child, your sins are forgiven." Now some of the scribes were sitting there asking themselves, "Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming. Who but God alone can forgive sins?" Jesus immediately knew in his mind what they were thinking to themselves, so he said, "Why are you thinking such things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise, pick up your mat and walk'? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins on earth" –he said to the paralytic, "I say to you, rise, pick up your mat, and go home." He rose, picked up his mat at once, and went away in the sight of everyone. They were all astounded and glorified God, saying, "We have never seen anything like this."
