SUNDAY 3RD FEBRUARY 2019 CHURCH NOTICEBOARD
 
1. SCC Announcements
• On 8th February Friday Perpetual Adoration by Our Lady of Lourdes Community
• On 9th February Saturday Church cleaning by St. Francis De Assisi Community and  the Confirmation students 
• On 10th February Sunday 8.15am Liturgy by the Family Cell
 
2. Today 
• The SVP unit of our parish are having their second collection. Kindly be generous.
• PPC Meeting at 6pm in the Little Flower Hall. 
 
3. On Friday 8th of February there will be a special Mass and blessing for all those appearing for X and XII board exams at 7pm in the church.
 
4. Announcements for parents of the Confirmation students
Sacrament of Confirmation will be on coming Saturday 9th of February at 4pm by Bishop Allwyn D’Silva. On Tuesday 5th of February from 6pm onwards Confessions, on 6th and 7th (Wednesday & Thursday) practice after the 7pm Mass in the church. Let us keep our candidates in our prayers. On that day evening we will have one more Mass at 6.45pm. 
 
5. Jesus Encounter Healing Retreat at Vinalaya, Andheri from 9th to 11th of February. To register contact Fay Lobo.
 
6. Programmes for coming Sunday 10th February 
• There will be a second collection for Holy Childhood on coming Saturday and Sunday. This amount will be sent to the Archdiocese of Bombay.
• On coming Saturday & Sunday there will be CWF counter outside the church. You can pay your contribution and collect the receipt immediately
• Our Lady of Lourdes Community having their T/G Mass at 9.40am followed by get together in the St. Joseph Hall and Our Lady of Grace Community celebrating their T/G Mass at 5pm followed by get together in the St. Joseph Hall.
 
7. Bombay Konkani CCR organizing residential retreat at Bandra retreat house from February 14th to 17th. For further details contact Hillary D’Mello 9869718162.
 
8. Lily of the Valley English Charismatic prayer group is conducting a LIFE IN THE SPIRIT seminar starting on Thursday 14th of February and thereafter for 4 Thursdays immediately after the 7pm Mass upto 9pm in the church. Come and be strengthen by the Holy Spirit.
 
9. Pre-baptism sessions for parents and god parents will be held on February 16th, 17th, 23rd & 24th in the Little Flower Hall from 4pm to 6pm. For registration please contact the church office.

    July 7 2019 Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time Lectionary: 102 Reading 1 IS 66:10-14C Thus says the LORD: Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad because of her, all you who love her; exult, exult with her, all you who were mourning over her! Oh, that you may suck fully of the milk of her comfort, that you may nurse with delight at her abundant breasts! For thus says the LORD: Lo, I will spread prosperity over Jerusalem like a river, and the wealth of the nations like an overflowing torrent. As nurslings, you shall be carried in her arms, and fondled in her lap; as a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; in Jerusalem you shall find your comfort. When you see this, your heart shall rejoice and your bodies flourish like the grass; the LORD's power shall be known to his servants. Responsorial Psalm PS 66:1-3, 4-5, 6-7, 16, 20 R. Go on your way; behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves. Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals; and greet no one along the way. Into whatever house you enter, first say, 'Peace to this household.' If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you. Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you, for the laborer deserves his payment. Do not move about from one house to another. Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what is set before you, cure the sick in it and say to them, 'The kingdom of God is at hand for you.' Whatever town you enter and they do not receive you, go out into the streets and say, 'The dust of your town that clings to our feet, even that we shake off against you.' Yet know this: the kingdom of God is at hand. I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom on that day than for that town." The seventy-two returned rejoicing, and said, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us because of your name." Jesus said, "I have observed Satan fall like lightning from the sky.
