SUNDAY 5th MAY 2019 CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
1. T/G Mass and blessing of the couples on May 5th at 6.15pm in the church. All the couples young and old married in the month of March, April & May are requested to attend the special Mass and blessing. 
  
2. From Monday 6th May onwards there will be a five day fun-filled VBJ – (Vacation Bible Joy) for STD I to X.  Those who like to sponsor snacks for children can do so. Kindly register your child name at the counter set outside latest by tomorrow evening.
 
3. CFCI Youth are organizing a camp for the youth between the age group of 14 to 21 years from 24th to 26th May to be held at Vinayalaya, Andheri (E). For further details refer the notice board.
 
4. Total 180 children from our parish received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. We congratulate all the children and parents and seek God’s blessings on them. We also thank all the catechist for their dedicated service.
 
5. Keeping in mind the recent attacks on churches in Sri Lanka and other countries, we are reminded to be on our guard. In this view the Anti Terrorist Attack authority of Maharashtra had a dialogue with Cardinal Oswald Gracious and have briefed regarding the security. Hence in our church we have alerted our watchman who is given the task to check the suspected persons and their bags. There will be also a register kept in which visitors have to write their name and contact number. Please cooperate with us and bring to our notice if any suspicious person or any unclaimed bag in the premises. 
 
6. St. Ann’s Hospital at Kashmira has started Cancer Detection and care facilities. So kindly avail this opportunity. For further details refer the banner.

    May 23rd, 2019 Thursday of the Fifth Week of Easter Lectionary: 288 Reading 1 ACTS 15:7-21 After much debate had taken place, Peter got up and said to the Apostles and the presbyters, "My brothers, you are well aware that from early days God made his choice among you that through my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the Gospel and believe. And God, who knows the heart, bore witness by granting them the Holy Spirit just as he did us. He made no distinction between us and them, for by faith he purified their hearts. Why, then, are you now putting God to the test by placing on the shoulders of the disciples a yoke that neither our ancestors nor we have been able to bear? On the contrary, we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they." The whole assembly fell silent, and they listened while Paul and Barnabas described the signs and wonders God had worked among the Gentiles through them. After they had fallen silent, James responded, "My brothers, listen to me. Symeon has described how God first concerned himself with acquiring from among the Gentiles a people for his name. The words of the prophets agree with this, as is written: After this I shall return and rebuild the fallen hut of David; from its ruins I shall rebuild it and raise it up again, so that the rest of humanity may seek out the Lord, even all the Gentiles on whom my name is invoked. Thus says the Lord who accomplishes these things, known from of old. It is my judgment, therefore, that we ought to stop troubling the Gentiles who turn to God, but tell them by letter to avoid pollution from idols, unlawful marriage, the meat of strangled animals, and blood.
